He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.
To redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me.”
Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
1 John 3:2
This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.
But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
1 John 3:1
For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! He was bringing up Hadassah, that is Esther, the daughter of his uncle, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman had a beautiful figure and was lovely to look at, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.

This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
That you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’

The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?
It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers,
For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you”? Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son”?
And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.
Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you.
2 Corinthians 6:17
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
And not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

hen the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his own daughter, to go in to the king, she asked for nothing except what Hegai the king’s eunuch, who had charge of the women, advised. Now Esther was winning favor in the eyes of all who saw her.
He said to me, ‘It is Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
1 Chronicles 28:6

For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.”
For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.
He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
That the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

To the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
When the child grew up, she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses, “Because,” she said, “I drew him out of the water.”
